Reproductive Health

In New York State, women are able to undergo an abortion up to and including 24 weeks of pregnancy1. A woman is also eligible to receive an abortion after 24 weeks of pregnancy if the procedure is necessary to protect the woman’s life or health, or the fetus is deemed not viable2.

Steps have been taken to make abortions safe and affordable for all women, but it remains a serious procedure that caries medical risk.
